Work on your "Mentor Letters"- you need to write 3 letters- each to a different teacher.  Follow the instructions given to you. 

Read" In the Field" and " Good Form"- truth statements and add to character chart

May 10- Homework

Finish truth statements with quotes for "The Man I Killed"  "Ambush" and "Style"

Also, read "Speaking of Courage"  and "Notes"  create truth statements for both.

Think of and write down two questions for our guest speaker, Iraq Veteran Eddie Falcon. 

HW Wednesday, May 9th

Continue writing your mentor letters and collecting signatures for your cover sheets. 
Cover sheet/grade plan check off is due Friday, May 18th.

Read "Stockings" and "Church"- add to character chart and Truth Statements. 

HW Tuesday, May 8th

Work on your letter for potential senior mentor
Finish reading "True War Story" - start reading "The Dentist" and "Sweetheart of the Soong Tra Bong"
Truth statements for each reading and add to character chart- lots to add. 

HW Monday, May 7th

Read "Enemies" and "Friends".  Complete Truth Statements for each chapter and add to character chart
Finish the handout about the "Gulf of Tonkin" incident and answer the last questions.

Homework for Thursday and Friday

Thursday-
Finish reading chapter "The Things They Carried"
Read chapter "Love" and "Spin"
Write truth statements about each chapter and choose a quote to back up your statement

Friday-
Finish chapter "On The Rainy River"
Write a truth statement about the chaper and choose a quote to back up your statement
